About ClaynGlaze

Wendy Taylor Cert. Ed.

Wendy TaylorWendy is a professional ceramicist, an energetic artist with a wealth of experience gained over 27 years of being both teacher and practitioner. She is fulfilled not just through herself but through the work of all those whom she endeavours to inspire.

Wendy is Head of Art at Heathfield St Mary's School in Ascot and teaches ceramics at a range of levels including GCSE, A-level and in further education. She is also a moderator for the Edexcel examination board at GCSE and A-level.

Smoke fired potShe has researched cross-curricular applications of working with clay. This resulted in her writing various booklets on the subject and the publication of articles in educational and ceramic periodicals: Art & Craft Magazine, Scholastic Publications Ltd and The Ceramic Review.

Wendy has worked for many years on smoke-fired pottery, for which she has a passion. She is currently exploring large ceramic murals for exterior walls.
